The big fish were not biting, except for one nice redfish. We did have fun catching a variety of fish and enjoyed some good food and fellowship. Always fun to get down to the coast.

My daughter, an awesome fisher girl, landed 16 Black Drum in two days of fishing with 11 on the first day and 5 the next day. The Drum ranged from about 20 to 50 pounds and we estimate she landed about 480 pounds of fish over the two days. We went out early on the third day, but were forced off the water when the winds picked up to 25+ mph. It was a fun trip with lots of great memories. I am a lucky dad to have a daughter that enjoys fishing as much as she does.
It was also great to meet my son and his wife at Gus' in Texas City for a seafood dinner. Great company and really good food.

Fun summer day on the water and even got to see the Carnival ship coming back into port with my son and daughter-in-law on board. We caught the typical summer time fish: sand trout, croakers, catfish, sheepshead, and Spanish mackerel. I rarely keep fish, but decided to clean the mackerel. We had those for dinner one night at the beach house we rented.

Two fun days on the water with my long time friend, Alan. We caught several species and 7 Redfish that ranged from 5 to 24 pounds. No fish were harmed on the this trip, but it was tempting with Redfish going for $24 per plate at a local seafood restaurant in my home town.
