November 10-11, 2007
Allan and I made a trip to Galveston and fished for Bull Reds the first day at the North and South Jetty and fished for trout at the Sante Fe Railroad Bridge the second day. We landed and released three Bull Reds the first day at the South Jetty along with a few hardhead catfish. The second day we boxed two 16" & 18" Speckled Trout along with a 22" Spanish Mackerel. We also caught a few puppy drum and several piggy perch that were later used to land about a dozen hardheads at the North Jetty.
October 20-21, 2007
Allan, Tim and I fished the North Jetty in Galveston and also the Pelican Island Bridge. We caught approximately 75 sand trout, some croakers and whiting and released 4 Bull Reds. We kept about 50 sand trout from the trip and enjoyed some Casey's for dinner on Saturday night. Good fun!
Tim was catching one sand trout after another and then we knew he had something other than a sand trout. After a long run to the rocks and then to a nearby boat, a nice Bull Redfish surfaced to make a splash about 20 yards from the boat. Tim had his first ever 12 pound Bull Red. Tim got things going for Team Palm Beach!

The Bull Redfish run was on this year, and we timed it perfectly. Alan and I fished the North Jetty in Galveston on October 1-3 and caught and released 16 Bull Reds, one slot Redfish and one Black drum. All of the fish were caught using shad.
August 11-12, 2007
Allan and M joined Kat and I for a daddy/daughter fishing trip to Galveston. Kat and M wanted to go for the numbers, so we targeted mostly Catfish with Whiting, sharks, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Ladyfish included in the catch. Kat and M combined for over 100 fish the first day and about 60 the second day.

We took a family vacation during the week of July 22nd and we made a jetty trip on 7/24. The weather was great - very calm seas. We caught several small sharks, an eel and Kat went for the numbers like usual. She caught 47 fish consisting of whiting, croakers, sand trout, sharks and catfish.
We also fished in the West Bay several times during the week and caught trout, redfish, catfish, whiting, croakers and several great fighting ladyfish.

April 28-29, 2007
Allan and I made a trip to Galveston and fished the North Jetty. The bait shop indicated the sharks were biting and we found that to be true. Alan caught this Sharpnose Shark along with several others similar in size. We also caught whiting, catfish and croakers. The Bull Reds did not cooperate on this trip. We did see about a 30 pound Cobia landed in a boat about 200 yards away, but everyone else was having similar luck with lots of sharks. Still a good trip with great weather including very calm seas.
March 18-19, 2007
Burrito, Alan and I made the spring break trip to Galveston for the Black Drum run. We caught 15 Black Drum ranging from 19 to 60 pounds, a few small sharks, a 5 lb Sheepshead and of course, catfish and whiting. All of the Black Drum were caught using cut crab near the Boat Cut at the North Jetty. It was nonstop action with several double and one triple hook-up. After heaving several of these 30+ pound fish into the boat the first day for pictures, we started releasing them in the water beside the boat the second day without pictures. I'm a fisherman - you can trust me. We caught 15 huge Black Drum.
We are already looking forward to another trip in March 2008 when the Black Drum begin spawning again.

A family fishing trip for the weekend. We had a good time even if the air temp was around 65. Due to strong winds, we stayed in the ship channel and fished the Pelican Island Bridge. We caught sand trout using dead shrimp and Black Drum using crab.

A nice family fishing trip with my Mom to Galveston. Excellent weather for late November with calm seas and 75+ air temp. We caughts lots of sand trout, croakers and 1 Bull Red at the North Jetty. The Bull Red was battered and bruised, but were not sure why.

We made a family fishing trip to Galveston and as usual had a great time. It was a typical saltwater trip with lots of catfish, whiting, croakers, sand trout and a big Black Drum. The weather was great.
